A light shower

The 2006 World Domination Tour continues.
Having left Canada (Edmonton) on friday we arrived at Barb's in New York State to unseasonally bad autumn weather - heavy wet snow which caused havoc as it bought down trees and electrical lines throughout north west NY.
Buffalo Airport was running on emergency power and many regions were without power, some regions are still out (on sunday).
So we did the only reasonable thing and went back to Canada. We spent about 4 hours on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and toured Niagara-on-the-lake.
Brenton Barritt was also in Niagara at the time, and in our normal form, we both missed the other!
I am heading down to Ames, Iowa this afternoon and Jeanette & her Mum are staying in Medina with Barb, doing girl stuff.

Finally, we catch up with Brendan

We have been in Canada for a week and finally caught up with Brendan.
Our lodgings are very comfortable and the weather is bracing, although the locals assure us that this is still virtually summer!
We spent 2 days on Vancouver Island, seeing the camp site that Brendan spent summer at. We were fabulously hosted
by the Kims (big & little) and met many of the people that Brendan worked with over Summer.
We spent 1 night in Vancouver before driving through some spectacular mountain scenery to Kamloops. At Kamloops we were again hosted by a very friendly couple (friends of friends who are now our friends) who left no stone unturned in accomodating us and showing us around.
We travelled 2 hours north to drive through Wells Gray Park which was sensational.
We saw spectacular valleys and ravines, waterfalls & rapids and I got to sit on a moose (but not a real one). We also saw some bears (real ones), grouses, buffalo and deer. Jeanette had an adventure with the same moose and we expect her ribs to be ok in 3 or 4 weeks.
On the way out of Kamloops our hosts took us to the Adams Creek Salmon Run which was an awesome experience and unlike anything we have ever seen in Oz.
After a night at Golden in an Alpine themed B & B we wandered around Lake Louise and Banff village on our way to Calgary and on to see Brendan.
It was great to see Brendan and today was spent hanging out with him, joking, laughing, playing cards (not me) and just being. Jeanette & I tested out the Canadian medical system visiting a doctor and radiologist to find out she probably has a cracked rib, but is ok as long as she sits just so!
